In 1962, Perth became known as the “City of Light” when John Glenn became the first American to orbit the Earth.
Since then Perth’s iconic skyline has continued to develop and create an amazing canvas of lights at dusk. Our photography tour leave from the South Perth foreshore and take us first to Matilda Bay via the iconic Old Swan Brewery. Matilda Bay is a perfect location to start the afternoon, offering a diversity of opportunity and subjects to work with while covering some basic camera techniques.
Kings Park and it’s Botanic Garden – A short walk through one of the largest inner city parks in the world, showcasing an outstanding collection of Western Australia flora with some breathtaking views over the city and the Swan River. Some other of our favourites are Elisabeth Quay, The Old Crawley Boatshed and Heirissen Island, time allowing.
We are keeping the best for last, and just before dusk, we’ll set-up one more time to capture some spectacular night images of Perth’s magnificent Skyline using some tips and tricks that I’ll be sharing with you during the course of the tour. Perth offers a splendour of photography opportunities, a diversity of iconic landmarks and spectacular city views with the ever-changing light. As this is a photographic tour, we can stop when and where we want!
