1. HOW TO BOOK:

Go to our Photography Tours page and click on the Tour to view tour details and requirements. Once you are ready to proceed with your booking select BOOK NOW through our secured booking system or drop us an email and we will happily help you secure your place.
Internal travel and transfer during the duration of the tour. Accommodation and meals as described in each individual tour itinerary packages. One professional photographer – tour leader (local guide and second photography tutor on some tours), one-to-one photography guidance tailored to your personal need. All photo tours and workshops are suitable for all level of photography.
Domestic and international flights, travel insurance, alcohol, extra drinks, room service, laundry, personal items and any extras purchased. Camera insurance and other personal items insurance are not included. Travel insurance is highly recommended and/ or compulsory, please read individual tours T&C for more details.
Your favourite camera and lens, plenty of memory cards, fully charged batteries. Polarizer filter, Neutral Density and grabs filters are not a prerequisite but are great tools to have for long exposure and colour saturation. Don’t forget to bring your camera manual and a tripod if you have one.

SPOUSE AND NONE-PHOTOGRAPHER PARTNER

We often get asked if it is OK to bring along a partner/ friend who doesn’t want to photograph. If they are happy to be patient with your photography then we are happy to show them the pleasure of slow travel. For small groups, please email us.
A tripod is recommended for any of our tours, especially for landscape and night photography. If you don’t have one, or you’re not travelling with one, we can lend you one for the duration of the tour. Just let us know at time of booking so we have enough advance notice.
Yes, we often get asked to organize day trip/ workshops and extended Photo Tours for local and international education departments agency, schools, camera clubs, social groups as well as events and conferences organisers. For groups, please email us.
We guarantee a wealth of photography opportunities, including one-to-one support tailored to your individual needs while on-location learning the importance of image composition, available light and night photography techniques. As it is our own personalized photo tour itineraries, we can stop when and where we want! When the conditions and the light are prefect and everyone is enjoying a location we tempt to spend a little more time there and make up time somewhere else along the way.
No, you don’t need a DSLR. We work will all kinds of cameras including phone cameras, point and shoot cameras, bridge cameras, film cameras and DSLR. With simpler cameras, we will focus more on composition, framing and finding the best spots to take great images. If you are taking a tour that extends into night time, we do ask that your camera is possible of shooting at least 20 seconds or have a bulb setting and that you can set your lens to manual focus.
If availability permits it, we can change the date of the tour at no additional cost. However as we can’t control the weather it is a good practice to think outside the box, a chance to create strong and unique images, use the clouds, play in the rain, visualise your images printed on Black & White canvas or large format Art Paper!
All of our tours operate in English and French. Additionally we are happy to offer the tours in other languages (min. participant number apply). Please contact us before booking to make sure the guide with your language is available for the tour.

Each of our tours has it’s own minimum level of fitness requirement, check under the individual tour itinerary –

 Some itinerary can be modified and amended to suit guests who are not as fit as they used to or with some walking restrictions.

Travel insurance on all extended tours within Australia and/ or international destinations is a prerequisite. Please check individual tour terms and conditions for more details. If you can’t afford travel insurance, you can’t afford to travel!
Our system closes down the ability to book at tour once the tour is fully booked or 24 hours before the start of a tour to ensure our photographers have enough advance notice. At times, we can still operate a tour at short notice, but you will need to email us directly to sort out the details.

Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation Policy: A 25 – 50% deposit is required to reserve your seat. Seats to be paid in full at the time of booking or within 4 weeks of departure (8 weeks for Karijini, Cape2Cape, Paris, Zermatt, Venice, Tuscany, Sicily and USA tours/ workshops) Cancellations less than 7 days no refund (8 weeks for Karijini, Cape2Cape, Paris, Zermatt, Venice, Tuscany, Sicily and USA tours/ workshops). Deposits non refundable except tours cancelled due to sever weather mechanical failure or minimum numbers not met; full refund will be given. Minimum and maximum numbers are at the discretion of the operator. Tours already commenced no refund. No refund for tours missed due to lateness & sickness. Check-in 15 minutes prior to departure. Maximum 1 baggage* per person i.e. Camera bag water bottle jumper (Extra luggage* allowance on all extended tours (1 pp – personal effects)) NOTE: We cannot guarantee that you will see kangaroos emus or any wild animals on our tours nor wildflowers as they are seasonal. Tour Guides

Our tours leader is Martial Fatton – Blue Tongue Tours Owner/ Operator, however we reserve the right to provide a photographer of our choosing, which we guarantee is competent of their position. Your assigned photographer might change from initial notification until the tour departure due to illness, engagements or any other reason deemed necessary by Blue Tongue Tours, not limited to the photographers listed on this site. While we do our best to match you with a photographer of your choosing if requested, for these reasons we cannot guarantee a specific photographer for an individual tour.

Inclement Weather Policy

In the event of inclement weather, before the tour commences, you have the option of a) continuing the tour as planned and we’ll do our best to concentrate the tour to areas sheltered from the elements. At prior request, we can provide an umbrella. Or b) rescheduling the tour at no additional cost (availability permitting).
